New Website Offers Non-partisan Information About State and Federal Candidates, Health Care Issues

Decisions by state and federal lawmakers can impact the delivery of health care in your community. And the November 7 general election is one of the best opportunities you have to help strengthen the future of Pennsylvania's health care by electing a lineup of lawmakers who will work for a strong health care system for all Pennsylvanians.
How do you know which lawmakers are right for you? Only you can decide. But with a new online resource developed by Pennsylvanian's for Effective Government and sponsored by a number of partner organizations, it just got a little easier to learn about the candidates and issues. Log on to the PaHospitalsAdvocacy website and look up your elected officials, register to vote, refresh your memory about how government works, learn about federal and state candidates, and read information about key health care issues and how lawmakers voted.

Register to Vote! You only have until October 10 to register to vote for the November 7 election. If you haven’t already done so, register today! It’s fast and easy. Log on to the “Register & Vote” area of the PaHospitalsAdvocacy website and enter your zip code. Then print out a voter registration form, complete the form, and return it to your local election office at the address provided on the screen. You can deliver the form by hand or simply mail it. In addition, you also can find your local polling place, apply for an overseas ballot, or even learn how to vote early. It’s really that easy! It's really that important!
