November 7 is a general election, and Pennsylvania has a number of important races, including governor, lieutenant governor, state senator and representative, and U.S. senator and U.S. representative. It is one of the best opportunities you have to help strengthen the future of Pennsylvania's health care by electing a lineup of lawmakers who will work for a strong health care system for all Pennsylvanians.
What is one of the best ways you can keep the health care system a strong and vital part of your community? By ensuring that your public officials want the same. This can be done throughout the year by speaking out on important issues that could affect the care you receive, your hospital, and your community (such as the state budget), but also at one of the most important times ever--voting day!

- Register--by October 10. It's the last day to register to vote in the November election. October 31 is the last day to apply for a civilian Absentee Ballot.
- Learn about the Issues and Candidates--Continue to read Pennsylvania Hospitals Today, read voter information guides (produced by a number of organizations), and search candidate websites.
- Vote on November 7!
